What a Rager!

The long awaited birthday finally arrived. Elsa opened presents from 9am to 7pm and could barely contain her excitement. She had a couple of her closest girl friends and one younger man over for dinner and blue cup cakes. The girls stayed up until 8pm running around with a frenzied rush that can only come from box cake and whipped cream. Overall I think the day was a success,  thanks to everyone who sent her such wonderful presents!

Practicing Being a Big Sister

Elsa likes to spend a little time each day talking to her baby brother while caressing her mama's belly. She generally begins by saying "open it up mama" which means she would like me to lift my shirt and expose to whatever company my expanding waistline. This is generally followed with a series of questions and statements including "What you doin' in there baby Liam?" "Be Nice to Mama," "I love you Baby Liam", and "Liam's birthday coming up."  Besides being cute as heck, these all seem like good signs that Miss Elsa will be an excellent big sister!

Almost 2

Elsa is quickly approaching two. Her and mom got dressed up to go to Little Liam's Baby Shower. In the midst of getting dressed Elsa had to stand by the heater to, in her words, "getting hot". Both Daughter and Mother were quite cute for their party.

Scooped by your own Sister

We were hoping to update the blog with many photos of our trip to the big city, only to be scooped by my own sister.

Elsa did manage to take a bath with her favorite Alaskan cousin.

Cabin Fever?

Its been a long winter in Alaska. Elsa blew off some steam the last couple of evenings the old-fashioned way: dressing up! Elsa wore a sweater from her friend Carol in Oregon and sunglasses from Jennie. She also dressed up in her Tutu from Nana and wings from Tara. As it is still snowing we can only anticipate what Elsa's next outfit will be.

Little House

The neighbors have a small play house in their front yard that Elsa likes to play in; she calls it her "little house".

A Break in the Weather

Its been a snowy winter in Homer! Elsa took advantage of a couple of hours of snow free weather to graduate to the big kid swing. The degree of difficulty was high for this swinging session as the snow is so high that we had to dig a hole in the snow so Elsa could put her feet down.
