A First Time for Everything

Here's a little overview of some of Liam's firsts. Perhaps the excitement was a little overwhelming, as he chose to sleep through most of them.

Liam's Here!

Liam arrived on May 2 at 12:55pm. He was 9 pounds and 22 inches long. It was a long one, but he and mom did a great job! After a short stay at the hospital, we were all excited to bring him home, especially Elsa, who is taking to being a big sister with her inherent enthusiasm and sweetness. So far little Liam is as peaceful as can be, and mom and dad are soaking up all the wonder support that we have been getting from our friends and family, especially Nana!

Springish

Well it's topped 40 degrees this week and we're all celebrating here in Alaska. We now only have a few feet of snow left and we've moved from wearing the heavy snow gear, to light snow gear, Yeah!

Ice Cream

Elsa insisted that we go to the store tonight to get some ice cream to go with the Pear Crisp that mom made. Elsa could not wait for the crisp and got a bowl to herself.

March Madness Hits Homer

Elsa and her friend Cecily wanted to watch the Final Four games Saturday Night. Although Cecily's father, Bob, and I were more interested in singing songs, making crafts, and playing dress up we relented and let the girls watch the games at our house on the big screen. Everyone was rooting for Kansas (Paul picked Kansas to go to the final game in his pool), but was impressed by the scrapper Craft from Ohio State. The girls got lollipops, played stickers, and tried to eat pizza. The Dad's ate pizza, and watched basketball. We got some fresh air at half time: played teeter totter, swings, and little house.
